Biography

Shiva Mohammadi is a distinguished film composer hailing from Tabriz, Iran, with a rich cultural background blending Turkish and Persian heritage. Shiva's journey into the world of music began at the tender age of seven, with the piano as her first instrument. This early introduction sparked a lifelong passion for music and set the stage for an illustrious career in composition.

Shiva pursued her bachelor's degree in Classical Composition at Tehran University of Art from 2017 to 2022. During her time there, she had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of esteemed lecturers such as Dr. Majid Tahriri, Amir Alavi, Pejman Khalili, and Arman Noroozi. In addition to her formal education, Shiva honed her piano skills with lessons from Rebecca Ashoughian and Babak Pakzad. Her diverse musical education also included vocal training, leading to her role as a choir singer with the renowned Tehran Choir.

Eager to further her expertise, Shiva embarked on a master's degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, graduating in 2024. Under the mentorship of Lucio Godoy, one of Spain's premier film composers, Shiva refined her craft and expanded her horizons. Her master's program offered unique opportunities, including recording sessions with the Budapest Art Orchestra and musicians from the Palau de les Arts.

A highlight of Shiva's academic journey was her final project, which she recorded at the prestigious Air Lyndhurst Studios in London. This experience marked a significant milestone in her career, showcasing her talent and dedication to the art of film composition.

Today, Shiva Mohammadi stands out as a versatile and innovative film composer, blending her classical training with contemporary techniques to create compelling scores for film, television, and video games. Her unique background and extensive education make her a dynamic force in the world of music composition.
